2023/24 Registrations are Open

The Committee is delighted to inform you that the 22/23 cricket season registrations are open.  This season, we are fielding 2 Senior Women's teams, 5 Senior Men's teams, and 4 Junior mixed teams (Rookies, U12, U14 & U16).  We will also be running the  Master Blasters program.  We encourage you to register yourself/your family early to get a clear indication of the numbers. This will also assist us with team preparation.

You can register now at www.playcricket.com.au for all teams.  Cricket Australia (CA) has implemented several critical changes to the program.  The biggest change is that all players must be registered by Round 1.  This must be done online by the player (senior players) or guardian  (junior players).   At the time of registration, an insurance fee must also be paid. You must have paid the insurance to pay.  The club will support payment plays for the remainder of the fees- but you must establish this with the club treasurer before registering.  Concession discounts are also available.  Also changing is the registration process.   CA is moving away from MyCricket for registrations.  It uses PlayHQ for registrations.  The registration process will ask you to link your Cricket ID with your registration.  You may already have a PlayHQ account, as other sports (including many of the AFL leagues) have been using PlayHQ for several years.

To ensure the club can meet its fixed obligations, the Committee has decided to hold fees at the same level as last year.  We also understand that some of our members may be experiencing financial challenges. We are receptive to supporting our members who have financial difficulties.  We want everyone who wants to play to be able to play cricket.  To this end, please let the treasurer or club executive committee know if you need assistance.

Fees:

The Men’s Senior Teams fees are:      $330 (full fees)/$280 (concession)

The Women’s Senior Teams fees are: $260 (full fees)/$210 (concession)

The Junior Teams fees are: $150

The Blaster Teams fees are: $99

This year, there are some additional fees.  Cricket Australia has added an insurance and registration fee of $22.50 for senior players and $16.00 for junior players.  SECA is also charging an additional $2.50 per association.  The total price of blasters has remained at $99

For 1st year players of the boy's and girls' junior teams, the price includes a club hat and playing shirt. The blaster fees include a Cricket Victoria pack (https://play.cricket.com.au/play/cricket-blast/woolworths-cricket-blast)

Play HQ (the new MyCricket):

In most cases, you must register and pay your subs via Play HQ prior to round 1.

Fees due date:

Whilst fees are due by round 1, you cannot play more than one game without registering.  If you experience payment hardship,  contact the treasurer to arrange an alternative plan.

Payment Plans for Senior Players:

We are still offering a mechanism to do this.  This will enable you to spread your payments over a longer period.  You must contact the treasurer before round 1 to establish a payment plan.

Concession rates for Senior Players:

Full-Time Students:

Full-time students will be eligible for concession rate fees.  Please contact the treasurer to arrange for a discounted rate.  Junior rates already have the concession built into their fees.

Hardship

If you are having any difficulty with making payment, please advise someone on the executive committee, and a payment arrangement can be organised.

These changes will not prevent anyone from playing if they contact the treasurer or club executive to request alternative arrangements.

If you have any issues or want to arrange an alternative way to pay, please get in touch with our treasurer, Jason Buck - 0410 300 431 or treasurer@khcc.org.au.

Please make sure you let Jason know if you have any concerns or problems – we can be very flexible, but we need to know in advance.
