Overview of club
The Kingston Heath Cricket Club – the Kookaburras – has 5 Senior Men’s teams competing in the SECA competition in bayside Melbourne, with our 1st XI competing in finals in the highest grade, the Longmuir Shield, in 2022/23. Our club has operated since the 1990/91 season and resides at Southern Road Reserve in Mentone. The club also runs 2 Senior Women’s teams and a junior program (both out of the direct scope of this role, however, the ideal applicant will show an interest in and connection to both programs).
Role overview
Commencing in season 2023/24, the club is seeking a Senior Men’s Coach (Playing or non-playing) to oversee club training and match preparation and to assist and support all XIs. The successful applicant will focus on elevating our playing list, developing existing players and recruiting new talent.

Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

The ability to develop and implement training plans and matchday strategy and guidance.

Strong commitment to the development of younger senior players.

Able to work with a large age and skill demographic.

Be a positive influence around the club and drive strong cricket culture.
Job roles:
-
Organise and deliver training sessions (pre and regular season).

Assist match day preparation and warmups.

Team and individual coaching.

Assist with team selection.

Mentor senior captains and leadership group.
Remuneration:
- Attractive package offered, by negotiation, depending on experience and prior coaching history.
